How to Change the Password of a QuickBooks Online ID

Overview
If you need to update your QuickBooks Online password for security reasons or because you have forgotten it, you can change it directly from your account settings.
Steps to Change Your Password

Sign in to QuickBooks Online -- Log into your account using your current credentials.

Open Account Settings -- Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Your Account.

Edit Personal Info -- Navigate to Personal Info and click the blue Edit Personal Info button.

Access Sign In Settings -- Scroll down to the Sign In Info section and click Change.

Verify your identity -- A pop-up may appear asking you to continue and sign in again. You will receive a confirmation code at your current email address. Enter the code to proceed.

Enter your new password -- Type your new password twice to confirm it, then enter your old password as verification.

Save changes -- Click Save to apply your new password.
Tips
- Choose a strong password that includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- If you do not receive the confirmation code, check your spam or junk folder.
- After changing your password, update any saved credentials on other devices where you access QuickBooks Online.
